USDF Gold Medalist

Over 25 years of experience

Christy has a passion for teaching horses as well as helping riders. She loves to play a part in helping her students accomplish their dreams…whether it’s in competition or simply in improving their relationship with their horse.

She is a strong believer in emphasizing ground manners in horses with a kind approach that makes sense to both the horse and rider. Christy considers her approach to horse training a little different than a lot of others in that she emphasizes that we are always training, even when we aren’t doing it intentionally. This mindset helps to foster respect between the horse and their partner and improves their relationship under saddle as well.

She currently trains with international Judge, Trainer, and Rider, Anne Gribbons. She has also trained extensively with International Trainer, Conrad Schumacher since 2005. In 2016 she started getting the help of Arthur Kottas-Heldenberg, former head trainer of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria. He helped her hone her skills working a horse in-hand. She has also trained with Lilo Fore and Henk VanBergen.
